The 31st annual Magnolia Run and Walk for Epilepsy was yet again a great success and again the most successful to date! Hosting more than 1600 participants and an astounding 90 teams the event raised over $144,000!!

We had the honor of having Andria Lavine on site to capture all the wonderful moments of the event! Please check out her photos and share with your team, family and friends.

EFGA also had a new addition to the race, the iSnap photo machine. The iSnap machine was positioned by the EFGA table and provided photos to those who wished to take one and uploaded to EFGA’s iSnap website! Check out the iSnap photos here>

Sponsors and vendors came out from all over Atlanta providing informations, services and freebies to all participants. Vendors included chiropractors, local restaurants, running stores, insurance agencies, gyms and more! EFGA would not be able to do this event without the support and participation of our amazing sponsors and vendors! We would like to take a moment to express our deepest gratitude for your support and participation. Many of the sponsors and vendors have participated year after year and we contribute much of the success of this event to you! Thank you!

Without the support of all our wonderful teams this event would not be a success. We want to congratulate every one who had a team! With your support we nearly reached our goal and raised more than $20,000 than in 2013. That is an incredible achievement and it is thanks to the teams that this was possible! We would like to thank and honor the top fundraising teams for the 2014 Magnolia Run!

The top 5 fundraising team for the 2014 Magnolia Run and Walk for Epilepsy are:
$16,489 – Sprinting for Seizures
$8,894 – Team Griffin
$7,639 – Team Silas
$7,551 – Team KatieCakes
$5,950 – Team Caroline

Your efforts and enthusiasm are greatly appreciated! We cannot thank you enough for your support!

In addition to all the fun and fundraising, the Magnolia Run plays an important role in educating the public about epilepsy and creating greater awareness of the disorder. The Magnolia Run was selected again by WSB-TV’s Family to Family project. Their support played a major role in this endeavor through the promotional segment done prior to the race, spotlighting on their website and the support and coverage on the day of the race! EFGA was also fortunate to have many vendors spotlighting epilepsy-related services in the metro area. Signs along the race route also shared information and dispelled many common myths about epilepsy.

EFGA will continue to accept donations for the 2014 Magnolia Run through mid-September. For anyone who still would like to donate, please visit the Magnolia Run page. For anyone who still has donations those can be mailed to the EFGA office, please make sure to include the team name, when applicable.

Thank you to all who participated, donated, ran, walked or jogged! Without your support, we would not be able to provide crucial programs and services to the 150,000+ Georgians living with epilepsy!
