EFGA is dedicated to raising awareness for epilepsy every day, in November we take advantage of National Epilepsy Awareness Month and would like to encourage all of you to get involved!
HAVE AN EVENT IN YOUR COMMUNITY
There are lots of ways to help increase awareness, hosting an awareness event in your community is a great way to start. Purple day at your school or workplace, distributing purple ribbons, getting your favorite restaurant to host a dining out night – the sky is the limit! Learn more about holding event in your community.
IT STARTS WITH YOU

SHARE YOUR STORY
How has epilepsy effected you? Know that you are not alone, read stories from other people who have gone through much the same as you. Whether it be someone with epilepsy, the parent of a child with epilepsy, the child with a parent who has epilepsy, a friend, loved one – you are not alone in this. Read stories from others and submit your own.
TALK ABOUT IT
During the month of November, take to Facebook, Twitter, a blog, your own website, and Instagram to help increase awareness! Share facts about epilepsy daily, your own story, share photos of your purple and help get the conversation started! Follow EFGA on Facebook and Twitter and feel free to share our post on your page!
NOW I KNOW
The Epilepsy Foundation of America wants your help. Submit a video about what you wish you knew then about epilepsy. Video submissions will be entered into a contest, the video with the most likes will win great prizes. Visit EFA’s page to learn more about the “Now I Know” video and make your submission.
