The Plott Hounds
The Plott Hounds formed in April of 2014 with angst to revive the sound of such luminaries as Lynyrd Skynyrd and The Allman Brothers Band, along with a tip of the hat towards twangy country, The Plott Hounds were born out of a common yearning for Southern warmth and rootsy rock n’ roll. We’re firm believers that good music and good times go hand in hand, that musical catharsis pairs well with Kentucky whiskey, and that we’ll give you a show you’ve never experienced before. Dank, formerly Dank Sinatra, is the next installment in what is a long and storied history of Rock and Roll music. Combing rhythm and blues tradition with a modern sense of urgency and experimentation, Dank is pulling Rock music into the 21st century as it was meant to be heard and experienced. With energetic and unpredictable live performances, as well as a knack for the studio and all of its wizardry, this Atlanta five-piece is showing fans what it takes to rock on the torrid seas of a post-Napster musical climate. It’s hard to pin down exactly what the Dank will become, or how far the band has come to get to where it is today, but at the core of this outfit is a red hot soul, and a burning sense of modern day Rock and Roll magic. Dank is Josh Birmingham-Drums, Vocals, Matt Henderson-Keyboards, Organ, Moog, Vocals, Jimmy Bones-Lead/Rhythm Guitar, Vocals, and Joe Gainss-Rhythm/Lead Guitar, Vocals. All the Locals
Since their formation in early 2012, All the Locals have been inseparable, in and out of local recording and rehearsal studios, and even your favorite Waffle Houses, planning and focusing on their goals of playing music that will make people think, laugh and love. Now, All The Locals, is becoming one of the most distinct modern roots rock bands gigging today due to its organically innovative, multi-genre reach and its transcendent live shows. ATL combines the taut, pocket groove of hip-hop and neo-soul and the redemptive qualities of gospel and classic soul with brawny blues and roots rock. Live the band hits somewhere between a soul revue and a Bruce Springsteen show–sweat-soaked and celebratory. The band’s latest EP, All the Locals II, is a watershed in its creative continuum—it showcases a band with an assured artistic identity stretching out stylistically with lush instrumentation.
